Our charter
BienRentré makes its living from being useful, never from your data. Here's what we commit to never doing — and that commitment won't change as BienRentré grows.
What we'll never do
- Charge for the alert or the escalation. The safety net — the "are you okay?" countdown, the alert to your people, the relay between them — is free for life, for everyone.
- Charge for receiving. A loved one who gets your updates, with or without the app, will never pay anything.
- Sell your location, even "anonymised". No location data is ever handed over to anyone, in any form.
- Play on fear. No anxiety-inducing notifications, no crime map used as a sales pitch.
- Pitch a subscription at the wrong moment. No sales screen during an ongoing trip, or in the 24 hours after an alert.
- Put ads in the app. Zero ad SDKs, today and tomorrow.
- Let a partner see your trips. A company, institution or local authority that funds BienRentré for its members never sees who's where, or anyone's trips: it only sees headcounts.
- Roll back what's free. What's free today stays free; thresholds never go down.
Why this charter
Your loved ones' trust isn't for sale. It's what keeps BienRentré going, and it comes before revenue.
